Shouldn't the Chantry symbol be the main image of this article? I am not sure why the statue in Kirkwall's chantry is more relevant to the chantry as a whole than the official symbol... 21:59, April 7, 2013 (UTC)

Pre Drakon Chantry?

Was the term Chantry actually used before Drakon established the Chantry in Orlais? The article cites the DAO Prima a Guide as a source, but I have no means to check it. Ravenfirelight (talk) 16:51, April 26, 2014 (UTC)

Well, in Haven is a chantry considered by Genitivi as older than the one we all know. Hesarian created the circle of magi, but not the church.FirstDrellSpectre (talk) 17:13, April 26, 2014 (UTC)

I don't think it was used and I edited the page accordingly. The WoT uses "the Cult of the Maker" for Andraste's followers before -3 Ancient. The relevant quote from the PRIMA guide talks about Drakon:

Emperor Drakon of Orlais, became humanity's best defender; he pushed back the darkspawn hordes before his armies, and as his own power grew, he spread the cult of Andraste. The cult was known as "the Chantry", and during those dark years, it became the dominant religion even in the old Imperium.
