Possibly bugged. I got the high explosives, quest stayed active. Unless there is more sand somewhere... Quirken 00:59, March 29, 2010 (UTC)

Yup. There is.

I have three grenades and the quest was counted as completed. This isn't a bug, right?

any reliable damage figures?

I've got three grenades as well but my quest remains active. Is there someone else I need to talk to inorder to finish this quest?

I gave him 3 units of lyrium sand, one by one, and I got 3 grenades. The quest was marked as "finished" and when I got the fouth sample of sand, the icon of "active mission" appeared over the dwarf, but I couldn't get a 4th grenade, as the quest was finished.

Apparently its possible to initiate this quest with one lyrium sand in inventory. Not 2 as stated for this quest. (PC, don't know about console versions)

Bug with completion[]

I would like to make you aware that even when following the directions in Bugs section, the quest can remain incomplete. Or rather, giving him four individual pieces of sand was at least in my case impossible. I gave the first two separately, and after I gave the third individually, I was unable to give any more. Thus, it might be required to give sands in three batches, whether it is two-one-one or one-one-two.

Apparently that's precisely what the editor above me also noticed. 88.114.124.96 (talk) 19:14, October 3, 2010 (UTC)

My order of doing it. much easier.[]

I prefer to do Kal'Hirol first, then talk to Dworkin, then get the Vigil's keep one, talk to Dworkin, then do Silverite Mine. i've done it before with no bugs ever happening. Quest fully completed. Lying Memories (talk) 01:53, October 23, 2010 (UTC)

Your method is the method that comes normal to most, and it's the one which got most people the bug. At least on PS3, using this method is a SURE way to get the bug and not be able to complete the quest. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.100.230.111 (talk)

On PC I gave 3 sands and the quest marked as completed. Does this mean I´ll get the trophy (enduring vigil) and save the keep? or is is still bugged despite completed?

I have never been able to complete this quest. I do Silverite Mine first, Vigil's Keep second, and the two from Kal'Hirol third and the quest still shows as active in my journal. Does the game not accept giving him two at once? Should I get one from Kal'Hirol, leave, give it to him, then go get the second? 69.117.142.137 (talk) 02:16, December 19, 2014 (UTC)
