"Irregulars" in this context just means a group of people who aren't in the "regular" armed forces. A bit like a militia or self organising police force. They come together as needed, either because they aren't needed full time, or they are unpaid, or poorly paid. I doubt it has anything to do with Sherlock Holmes.

There's really no reason that the trivia should contain as much information about Blackwater as it does, they aren't the subject of the article, and the relevance is questionable. Nizzemancer 21:50, March 6, 2010 (UTC)

Sorting

I've noticed that the mage's collective has it's own category page and the organization is very similar to that of the Blackstone irregulars in that they are both groups that have their own quests, rewards and characters attached to them. Is there a particular reason why the Mage's collective has it's own category and the Blackstone Irregulars do not? And- what solution, if any, would be most appropriate to keep consistency between the pages? ----Isolationistmagi 03:51, July 8, 2012 (UTC)

I think the category should indeed be created. The only reason for not having one would be because it simply wasn't created as far as I know. As for a consistency layout, anything works as long as it follows DA:LAYOUT. ··· d·day! 12:33, July 8, 2012 (UTC)

Unavailable Quests?

Under notes it says that after Lotheriong is destroyed, you won't be able to access thos 2 quests anymore. But under the Redcliffe entry it lists those 2 quests as well. So which is it? -92.227.137.102 (talk) 15:54, December 21, 2014 (UTC)

I found those quests from the Redcliff agent. I don't even remember finding the blackstone agent in Lothering. 109.61.126.147 (talk) 20:48, December 2, 2019 (UTC)

The Lothering Blackstone Irregulars questgiver is Dane's Refuge. 'scraping the Barrel' cannot be completed once Lothering is lost as an essential NPC is located there; 'dereliction of duty' is not dependent on Lothering, however, and IMO the wiki should be corrected to reflect that. - Theskymoves (talk) 19:48, December 3, 2019 (UTC)
