Possibly more than one order of "priests"
I recall a thread where one of the writers stated that there may be more than one active "priesthood" withing qunari society besides Tamassrans. Meaning that this article may be a little misleading since it seems to refer to the tamassrans as "the" priesthood. Furthermore, I think that there is too much emphasis placed on the tamassrans in this article and not enough on the role of the Ariqun rank/role itself. Balitant (talk) 09:29, September 4, 2011 (UTC)
In Mark of the Assassin, Tallis explains that the Ariqun felt it unnecessary to go after Salit when it was made clear his intention to sell out the undercover Qunari agents throughout Thedas, saying that they knew the risks they were taking. I took this to imply that the Ariqun is in charge of the Ben-Hassrath's organization and dealings, which makes sense because it is a religious order, as well as the spy network, because it was on the Ariqun's authority that the issue not be pursued, so it undoubtedly falls under his/her jurisdiction to make that call. As well, the Ariqun saying that the agents knew the risks suggests that he/she was involved in their orientation.
Thoughts? I'm just speculating, but I thought it worth mentioning. At the very least I feel confident that the Ben-Hassrath are supervised by the Ariqun.--Kuzzzzco (talk) 18:14, October 14, 2011 (UTC)
