This is weird. (360) I never got the quest to meet Fenris at the start of Act 3 and so his quest never came up. Thinking i messed up after reading the wiki I reloaded my save before the end of Act 2. So I did again the end of Act 2 and payed attention at the start of Act 3. No, no quest to meet Fenris came up. Is it a bug or did i do something wrong? Acher4 (talk) 07:50, April 6, 2011 (UTC)

I didn't get this quest either. Perhaps there is an undocumented dependancy to trigger it, such as a certain friendship/rivalry score, or certain dialog options being chosen. Or perhaps it simply is a bug...

Did either of you get A Bitter Pill in Act 2? I think Alone may be dependent on A Bitter Pill. Gruedragon (talk) 12:45, July 19, 2011 (UTC)

I know this is very late but yes, the quest is dependent upon A Bitter Pill, because Fenris has to learn that his sister is alive by Hadrianna - without this information Fenris would never learn she was a tailor in Minrathous which would mean that he never sent her a letter to meet her in the Hanged Man. -Sirens of Oakvale-Talk-[Wiki] 13:01, October 26, 2011 (UTC)

Hanged Man Bug Edit

Personal anecdote: The bug about needing to enter The Hanged Man from Lowtown affects the Xbox 360 version also. Son Goharotto (talk) 18:49, March 26, 2012 (UTC)

Just to say that I didn't go straight away. I was wandering around solo clearing up some trivial companion quests. Went directly from Merrill's to the Hanged Man to speak to Varric, and got caught up in this quest. The cut scene worked just fine.

On a separate note, surely I can not be the only one who on first playthrough figured "Take him" was an instruction to the party to kill the magister. The dialogue wheel loses a bit when different possible results are obscured by a simple triangle of curved arrows (choice) symbol.
