Star Ranking[]
How I understand the star ranking system, items of two stars are 'basic' equipment, with more stars being better and fewer stars being worse. What's puzzling me is that accessories behave rather strangely.
I find (for example) a ring that gives me 10 Mana/Stamina and it has 5 stars. I equip this and play on. Eventually my characters level up, and after a few levels I come upon another ring that is identical in every way (*exactly* the same abilities listed as the one I found earlier). What's odd is that my original ring has now devalued somewhat (gone down in stars as I have levelled), yet this second identical ring has 4 or 5 stars. This means that it's better in some way - but how exactly? Is this a bug or glitch? 31.111.44.230 (talk) 21:38, July 13, 2012 (UTC)
The stats shown are rounded. Mana/stamina bonus for generic rings follows formula
0.6 * (item level + 1)
Level 15 ring should have +9.6 bonus, level 16 – +10.2, both displayed as +10 mana/stamina. (The numbers might be off but this should give you the idea.)
Regardless, star rating is a rather poor interpretation of item's value, and I wouldn't recommend relying on it. Mostlyautumn (talk) 08:35, July 14, 2012 (UTC)
