The Tabris family is the hardscrabble elven family the City Elf is born into in the Denerim Alienage.

Background[edit | edit source]

Though not generally well-known outside of the Denerim Alienage, its members appear to have an unorthodox reputation as troublemakers or rebels and are often lacking the servile demeanor typical of city elves. Several of its members died violent deaths prior to the events of the City Elf Origin: Adaia was killed by humans, Soris' parents were killed in the last purge of the Alienage when their house was set on fire.[1] Other than that, the Tabris family seems to be better off than most in the alienage, and several people remark on the quality of the match Cyrion was able to acquire for his child.

On the City Elf's mother's side the dagger Fang, or "the Fang of Fen'Harel," is passed down as an ancestral blade dating to the time of the Exalted March upon the Dales, as is unusual martial training by Adaia in either the rogue or warrior style.

Dragon Age: Origins.

A Tabris Warden after the end of the Fifth Blight has the option to ask the ruler of Ferelden to treat his or her kin fairly for once as a royal boon in Dragon Age: Origins, as well as to become the first Bann of the alienage. Alternatively, Shianni, Soris, Cyrion or an unnamed other may be chosen as Bann, depending on the circumstances in which the game concludes.
