Strange Bedfellows is a side quest in Dragon Age: Inquisition.
A scout on duty is worried something's happened to a fellow scout named Ritts, who was tasked with investigating apostates in the area.
Acquisition[]
Find the Worried Scout located just north of the Dwarfson's Pass Inquisition Camp. He informs the Herald that his fellow scout, Ritts, has gone missing and asks them to track her down.
Walkthrough[]
Head towards the Winterwatch Tower, follow the path southeast from the tower, then up the stairs, and finally across the bridge. Ritts can be seen to the left towards the end of the hill being attacked by two Templars. Kill the Templars to rescue her.
Before leaving, search the box and the dead mage and speak to Ritts again, who will then admit the real reason as to why she was there.
- Ritts: So, the truth... I may have been, um, passing time with Eldredda.
- I think I understand.
- Having fun, were you?
- This is a travesty.
The Herald will have three options to recruit Ritts as an agent for the Inquisition:
- (Special) Varric?
- (Underworld Knowledge) No. You have potential.
- (Dwarf Inquisitor) Use this to be a better spy.
Informing the Worried Scout of Ritts' rescue completes the quest.
If the Herald decides not to recruit Ritts, travel back to the Worried Scout and informing him that Ritts is safe. Additionally the option to tell him of her actions while she was on duty becomes available; if this is done he will be angry with Ritts and assure the Herald that it will not happen again. Either way the quest is completed.
Additionally if Ritts is killed by the Templars, the quest can still be completed by informing the scout of what happened; he in turn will then vow for revenge.
Rewards[]
Completing the quest yields:
- 177 XP
- Influence 80
- Power 1
Recruiting Ritts as an agent for Leliana (Secrets) yields:
- Influence 50
- Power 1
Notes[]
- The party can encounter, help and recruit Ritts before accepting the quest from the Worried Scout. If done in this way, the worried scout can simply be informed that she's been rescued, completing the quest immediately.
- The fight between Ritts and the Templars will initiate as soon as the Herald is close by. If the Herald does not immediately approach Ritts, she will eventually drop to 1 health. When the Herald finally gets involved and initiates combat, it will only require one hit from either Templar to kill Ritts.
