Concept Art for Staves

Staves are the two-handed weapons of choice for mages. Each staff has a weak, short range default attack that costs no mana. Below is a list of significant staves found in-game. Be aware of that staves never hit critically.

Note that some contributers are reporting identical staves (same tier) with different Damage ratings. Other stats seem to be the same.

Final Reason

Final Reason

Description: This staff was held by several senior master conjurers of the Circle Tower, passed down from old master to new. Errant students learned to fear it, for when all other forms of discipline failed, the Final Reason would produce obedience at the cost of significant pain and discomfort.

Placement: This is meant to be usable once the player is at 11+ level and is meant to be the best staff for the mid-levels of the game.

Stats: Adds to damage, making it do as much as the dragonbone staves. Adds considerably to spellpower and to fire damage.

Note Final Reason is part of the Collector's Edition of Dragon Age: Origins (DLC - Collectors Edition).
