Someone to Lose is a side quest in Dragon Age: Inquisition.

A Dalish teenager named Valorin ran off after being passed over for the Keeper's apprenticeship. He has yet to return and his sister Emalien fears the worst.

Acquisition

Speak with Emalien at the Dalish Camp in the Exalted Plains.

Walkthrough

Valorin's Journal

  • Find Valorin in a destroyed house (a little north of the quest marker).
  • Return Valorin's effects to Emalien at the Dalish camp. How you deliver the news to Emalien will affect companion approval and Dalish favor for By the Grace of the Dalish (detailed below).
Note: If Cole is in the active party he will provide some unique dialogue when finding Valorin's body and after completing the quest with Emalien.

Rewards

Completing the quest yields:

  • 128 XP
  • 80 Influence

Approval

  • When Emalien asks what was learned, the Inquisitor can respond in the following ways:
He was brave.
  • DAIApproval Dalish Favor +2
  • Dorian/Solas DAIApproval Slightly Disapproves
