Shadows Crossing is the fourth main quest in Dragon Age: The Veilguard.
Acquisition[]
This quest is received after completing In Entropy's Grasp.
Walkthrough[]
The team must investigate when the Veil Jumpers report that the town of D'Meta's Crossing has gone silent.
Reach D'Meta's Crossing[]
After reaching the Veil Jumpers camp, Bellara suggests that the team investigate the nearby town of D'Meta's Crossing, where two Veil Jumpers have already gone to investigate.
Head outside the camp towards the docks, where you will find your injured companion waiting for you. Speak with them to travel to D'Meta's Crossing.
Investigate D'Meta's Crossing[]
The team finds the town eerily quiet and empty. Further investigation reveals that the town is overrun with a strange new form of Blight, and that the town's few survivors have been mind-controlled with blood magic. They tell the team that the mayor ordered them to lure the Veil Jumpers into the town square.
Upon reaching the town square, Rook finds one of the Veil Jumpers, Mihlva, dead and the other, Jahel, enveloped in blight tentacles. In his final moments, he tells them that Elgar'nan and Ghilan'nain performed a blood ritual to release the Blight.
Continue through the town until you find Mayor Julius, trapped by some blight tentacles. Before you can talk to him properly, an archdemon appears, but is called away by Ghilan'nain before attacking. Talking to the mayor reveals that he sold the town out to the elven gods in exchange for gold. In his defense, he claims that the gods were influencing his mind. Rook can decide the mayor's fate: release him, leave him to die, banish him to the Grey Wardens (only available to a Warden Rook).
Return to the Veil Jumpers Camp[]
After deciding the mayor's fate, return to the Veil Jumpers Camp for a debrief with Strife and Irelin. Partway through the conversation, Morrigan flies into the camp as a crow and introduces herself to Rook. She warns them that D'Meta's Crossing was only the beginning, and that they will have to fight the gods to save the world from the blight. She also tells them to recover Solas's dagger if possible, as they will need powerful magic to defeat the gods, and informs them that Solas's eluvian in the Lighthouse should be able to travel to any eluvian.

- +200 Veil Jumpers Strength
- Codex Update
- Increased bond with Bellara, Harding and Neve
