Senior Enchanter

Senior Enchanter is the title given to a small council of the most experienced mages present in each circle.

Circle of Magi (Orlesian Chantry)[]

Senior enchanters assist first enchanters. They are also the teachers and mentors of the tower, in charge of mentoring the junior enchanters, who in turn tutor the Circle's children.^[1] To attain the rank of senior enchanter, a mage generally needs the sponsorship of another senior enchanter,^[2] though it can also be granted as a reward by the Divine.^[3]

Newly appointed senior enchanters are presented in a ceremony to the Divine in the Grand Cathedral.^[4]

The next first enchanter is always chosen from the ranks of the senior enchanters.^{[citation needed]}
