Safeguards Against Looters is a side quest in Dragon Age: Inquisition

A man named Hessle fled the fighting to a cave in the northern hills with a secret project in tow.

Note: A Letter in an Empty Home

The quest triggers upon finding a letter in an empty home situated just southeast of the Redcliffe Farms Inquisition Camp.

Walkthrough[]

Travel to Wolf Hollow (the location ventured during the side quest Trouble with Wolves) located northeast of Redcliffe Farms and the Redcliffe Farms Inquisition Camp. From the camp head west to Forannan Ravine and follow the river path north; veer to the right (heading east) until the cave can be spotted. Inside Wolf Hollow continue east (straight) through the narrow pathway heading upwards (spiraling counterclockwise) and cross the short bridge seen on the left. Loot the crate at the end of the path next to the Crystal Grace node to complete the quest.

  • 50-150 XP

Completing the quest yields:

  • 128 XP
  • Influence 80

Notes[]

  • As of Patch 6, a piece of The Fall The Fall Mosaic can be found towards the back end of the cave, next to a few skeletal remains.[1]
  • If the crate is looted prior to initiating the quest, the quest will automatically complete upon reading the letter.
