Changes: Rifts Along the River

Rifts Along the River is a side quest in the Jaws of Hakkon DLC for Dragon Age: Inquisition.

Active Fade rifts has been spotted along the Varsdotten River and Western Riverbank

Acquisition

The quest is received after establishing the River Camp in the Frostback Basin.

Walkthrough

Close the rifts to complete the quest. Enemies scale to the party's average level, but within a min/max range. The rifts can be found at the following locations:

1. North-west of River Camp:

- Wave 1: Greater Shade (6)
- Wave 2: Greater Shade (5), Fear demon (1)

Note: The Fear Demon may also summon Fearlings.

2. North of River Camp:

- Wave 1: Wraith (1), Despair demon (1), Pride Demon (1)
- Wave 2: Pride Demon (4)

- 5,263 XP
- 600 Influence
- 2 Power
- Loot always includes:
  - Pure Lightning Essence, Pure Frost Essence, Pure Spirit Essence and/or Pure Fire Essence ~2
  - Veil Quartz ~3
  - One Tier 3 Masterwork metal
  - Tier 3 Common metal ~13
  - Bitter Axe

- 5,263 XP
- 600 Influence
- 2 Power
- Loot always includes:
  - Pure Lightning Essence, Pure Frost Essence, Pure Spirit Essence and/or Pure Fire Essence ~2
  - Veil Quartz ~7
  - One Tier 3 Masterwork metal
