Changes: Rift in the Floor

Rift in the Floor is a side quest from the Jaws of Hakkon DLC for Dragon Age: Inquisition.

An active fade rift has been spotted in the Basin Floor.

Acquisition

The quest is received after arriving in the Frostback Basin and completing the Jaws of Hakkon quest.

Walkthrough

Close the rift to complete the quest. Enemies scale to the party's average level, but within a certain range. The rift can be found near the Basin Floor Camp:

Level 20-22
- Wave 1: Fear Demon (1), Wraith (4)
- Wave 2: Fear Demon (1), Despair Demon (3), Greater Shade (2)

Note: The Fear Demon may also summon Fearlings.

Rewards

Closing the rift yields:

5,263 XP
600 Influence
2 Power

Note: There is no additional reward for completing the quest.

The rift will also always drop:

Swift Greataxe
Veil Quartz (4-6)
A tier 3 metal (13-20)
One Tier 3 Masterwork Metal
Two of Pure Spirit Essence, Pure Fire Essence, Pure Frost Essence, and/or Pure Lightning Essence (1-3)
