- In order for the effect to work, targets must first be Weakened, via Punching Down (upgraded Veilstrike), Shatterstone (upgraded Stonefist), Shaken Veil (upgraded Pull of the Abyss), basic attacks with Maker's Will as an active passive ability, or the secondary explosion from Virulent (upgraded Walking Bomb)
- Restorative Veil does not recover mana from Damage over Time effects such as Burning or the damage from Blizzard, but it will work with basic attacks or other damaging spells
- Basic attacks will not restore mana if the Weakened enemy is resistant to the staff's element
