Recipes in Dragon Age: Origins can be found in the world or bought from merchants that teach characters how to make specific traps, potions, poisons, or runes. Once purchased, click on the recipe to have the appropriate character learn it; the ingredients and other information necessary to create the item in question are permanently added to the in-game crafting screen for the entire party.
