Reaver is a warrior specialization in Dragon Age: Inquisition.

With the Reaver specialization, your warrior turns the chaos (and pain) of battle to their advantage with a series of powerful (and potentially dangerous) offensive oriented abilities. This is a high-risk/high-reward discipline, since most of the abilities benefit the warrior when their health is low, but the battle prowess given to the warrior makes a Reaver the definitive offensive specialization.

Acquisition

This specialization is obtainable through the Quest Way of the Reaver, obtained from Breaker Thram. After acquiring the following, Breaker Thram will teach the Inquisitor the specialization.

  • Writing on reaver methods (available from either Iron Bull or the book merchant in Val Royeaux). Side note: book merchant does not always have book.
  • Three infusion primers (found at the East Side Hills, the Flats, and the Black Fens in Crestwood).
  • 20 rashvines.
  • Materials to infuse dragon's blood.

Talents

Ring of Pain
  • Sustained
  • 10 stamina
You mark part of the battlefield as yours. Enemies inside the ring take spirit damage while your own attacks hit harder, The more you are hurt, the stronger both effects are.
  • Spirit Damage: 15% weapons damage per second
  • Damage Bonus: 1% for every 1% of missing health
Torrent of Pain
  • Upgrades Ring of Pain
While Ring of Pain is active, Devour costs less stamina and has a shorter cooldown rate, and Dragon-Rage costs less of your own health.
  • Cooldown Reduction: 4 seconds:
  • Cost Reduction: 20%
Blood Frenzy
  • Passive
  • Unlocks 3 Strength
  • Requires: Ring of Pain
They thought you'd get weaker once they wounded you. They were wrong.
  • Damage Bonus: +5% per 10% missing health
Terrifying Fury
  • Passive
  • Unlocks 3 Cunning
  • Requires: Blood Frenzy
Your critical strikes have a chance to cause a gory mess and send nearby enemies fleeing in a panic.
  • Fear: 25% chance for 6 seconds
  • Area of Effect: 10 meters
Fervor
  • Passive
  • Unlocks 3 Cunning
  • Requires: Ring of Pain
When an enemy dies near you, the thrill of death spurs you to hit that much harder.
  • Damage Bonus: 30% for 5 seconds
  • Range: 10 meters
Scenting Blood
  • Passive
  • Unlocks 3 Constitution
  • Requires: Fervor
Being near a badly wounded enemy spurs you into a frenzy, driving you to move faster and giving you a better chance of striking deadly blows.
  • Bonus: 50% attack speed and 10% critical chance when enemy's health < 35%
  • Range: 10 meters
Devour
  • Activated
  • 65 stamina
  • Cooldown: 12 seconds
  • Requires: Terrifying Fury
  • Requires: Scenting Blood
Blood is life. You rip into your enemy, doing damage based on how badly you're wounded and healing yourself. Ring of Pain significantly increases the effect.
  • Damage: 100% weapons damage
  • Damage Bonus: +2% per 1% missing health
  • Health Restored: 0.2% per 1% lost
  • Ring of Pain Bonus: +0.2% health restored per 1% lost
Consume
  • Upgrades Devour
After you attack with Devour, your next use of Dragon-Rage has a better chance of ripping deeply into your target for a critical strike.
  • Critical Hit Chance Bonus: 25%
Dragon-Rage
  • Activated
  • Cost: 2% health per swing
  • Requires: Devour
You launch an attack fueled by your fury, ripping into foes for damage that increases as your own wounds deepen. Ring of Pain significantly increases the effect. You take damage with each swing.
  • Damage: 150% weapon damage
  • Damage Bonus: +1% per 1% missing health
  • Ring of Pain Bonus: +50% Damage
Ravage
  • Upgrades Dragon-Rage
For some, Dragon-Rage is a dangerous ability. For you, it's the only way to fight. You now hit harder and reduce the cooldown time for Devour by 2 seconds with every attack.
  • Damage Bonus: 50%
Rampage
  • Focus Ability
  • Duration: 10 seconds
  • Requires: Blood Frenzy
  • Requires: Fervor
You're an unstoppable fury of physical force while this ability is active. Your attacks are harder and faster, and you gain health with each strike. This ability consumes and is powered by Focus. (Only works with 2h)
  • Tier 1: 10% attack speed, life steal, and damage.
  • Tier 2: 20% attack speed, life steal, and damage.
  • Tier 3: 30% attack speed, life steal, and damage.

Trivia

  • Iron Bull's specialization is Reaver but he claims it is simply a similar fighting technique in  dialogue.
