The Streets of Minrathous
Rana assists Neve in her investigation of Otho Calla's nephew's murder, telling her that another suspected cultist, Lady Varantus, was murdered the same night. Joint investigation between Rana and Neve further reveals that another Venatori was killed earlier in the week, and that the murderer, Aelia, is after the enchanted clay disks the victims possessed. Despite their progress, Knight-Captain Jahvis closes the investigation into Lady Varantus' murder at the behest of the family. Aelia attacks Neve shortly after she obtains one of the disks and steals it.
Neve learns that the Venatori plan to free a powerful demon sealed under Minrathous, said to be so powerful that only a god could summon it. After Corypheus was defeated, Aelia took charge of the ritual. The clay disks are the seals to the demon's prison, blood-bound to their bearers. The murder victims were bearers who refused to give theirs. Before heading to the Catacombs to stop the ritual, Neve informs the templars of the Venatori's plot.
Though Neve is alone against Aelia and her Venatori at first, Rana, Jahvis, and Brom eventually join her. Together, they prevent Aelia from completing the ritual, and take her into templar custody. The demon is sealed once more, but not defeated. Neve then returns to Otho Calla to complete the job she was first hired to do, tell the truth of Quentin's life and death: that he'd joined the Venatori because he believed they would end slavery, then turned against them when he discovered their true nature. He died trying to prevent the ritual from happening.
Dragon Age: The Veilguard[]
Rana finds Neve Gallus and the Veilguard after they just dispatched some Venatori, thinking they were some innocents who got caught up in a battle. When Rana recognized Neve, she was surprised she returned to Minrathous and that she knows about the missing red lyrium relic that she is also investigating. Neve introduces Rana as one of her friends. Rana is investigating the case alone but thinks she can solve it with Neve's help. She gives Neve intel that the relic trades hands tonight—and Albin Bataris is the buyer. Although it slightly annoys her, Rana knows Neve will go off on her own to confront the Venatori without waiting for her to back her up. Rana goes off to make sure no other Venatori will threaten Neve and her team and plans to catch up with them when she can. After the Veilguard defeats Albin and his summoned demons, Rana arrives with her bow trained on Albin, ready to make the arrest. The Imperial Templar Order's Knight-Commander, Lenos, only arrests the Threads smuggler selling Albin the red lyrium relic, since Albin's Magister father shields Albin from arrest. Neve accuses Lenos of being in Magister Bataris' pocket, but Lenos threatens to write Neve up and tells her she should be content with apprehending the smuggler since Magister Bataris can release her as well. Sensing Neve's frustration with the templars' corruption, Rana tells Neve she'll find a way to fix it.[1]
During The Cobbled Swan Case, Rana was investigating the kidnapping of Makal Damas and enlisted the help of Neve and Rook to help solve the case. Evidence point to the Threads' involvement in the kidnapping but Rana doesn't know what Makal's connection is to the Threads crime syndicate. Later on, Neve and Rook rescue Makal Damas from the Venatori. As a reward for saving him, Makal offers to give Rana scandalous evidence on Albin Bataris. Should Rook encourage Neve to accept the deal, Neve confirms that Rana got the evidence and it was real.
