Ralaferin clan

Ralaferin clan is a well known Dalish clan in Thedas.

Background[]

The Ralaferin clan is one of the most notorious Dalish clans in Thedas, as Keeper Gisharel used to share Dalish stories and lore with human scholars. His behavior has attracted criticism from some Dalish elves, who feel that their culture should not have been shared with outsiders. Their animosity towards the Ralaferin clan has lasted beyond Gisharel's tenure as Keeper.

Elindra succeeded Gisharel as Keeper to the Ralaferin clan. She first chose Cillian as her First, but eventually agreed to let him go so he could seek out the secret of the arcane warriors, an ancient elven order of mystical warriors. Neria, then aged nine, was chosen as Keeper Elindra's new First. There was no other alternative, as the Ralaferin clan had few children, and even fewer with magical ability.^[1]

Dragon Age: Inquisition[]

When the Breach appeared in the sky, Neria joined the Inquisition as an emissary of Ralaferin and a voice for the Dalish, to ensure that their interests are not forgotten amidst the chaos. Cillian, who had left the clan a few years prior to spend his time studying the way of the arcane warrior in an ancient elven shrine, felt compelled to join the Inquisition as well after the opening of the Breach.

Among their other duties as agents of the Inquisition, Cillian and Neria assist the Inquisitor in deciphering ancient elven glyphs to locate the Lost Temple of Dirthamen and tracking down the location of the legendary Sulevin Blade.
