Questions and Answers is an Act 1 companion quest for Varric Tethras in Dragon Age II. During this quest Hawke and Varric get to know each other.

This quest becomes available after completing the main quest, Tranquility.
Walkthrough[]
Travel to The Hanged Man pub in Lowtown. (If Hawke hasn't met Isabela yet a cutscene will trigger, introducing her).
Varric, being a storyteller, is interested in learning more about Hawke. In return, Hawke has the opportunity to ask Varric about himself, his family and The Deep Roads Expedition.
Friendship and rivalry[]
First wheel:
- Diplomatic or Humorous option gives
Varric: friendship (+10) - Aggressive option gives
Varric: rivalry (+10)
Second wheel:
- Diplomatic option receives no change
- Humorous option gives Varric: friendship (+5)
- Aggressive option gives
Varric: rivalry (+5)
