Note: If you capture Suledin Keep and teleport back to Skyhold before speaking with Mistress Poulin, she will be made available for judgment. To avoid this, make sure to speak to her as soon as you get this quest, and before leaving the Emprise.

Quarry Quandary is a side quest in Dragon Age: Inquisition.

Mistress Poulin confessed to selling her family quarry to the red templars. But what would they want with a quarry?

Acquisition

Obtained when the Knight-Captain's Orders are found (using the Search function) in Sahrnia Quarry in Emprise du Lion. They are located at the southernmost point up a ladder on a desk.

Knight-Captain's Orders

Klimt,

Lieutenant Coutte isn’t feeling well, so I must rely on you to handle the lady from the village.

Set aside some basic supplies: flour, dried peas, blankets, any coin you can spare. Either bring them or have them brought to the grove of trees at the fork of the Elfsblood, two nights from now. Make sure no one sees you. Mistress Poulin should be there. She’ll give you a list—people we can use—in exchange for the goods. Bring the list to me.

Oh, and lean on her a bit. Coutte’s got a soft heart, and lets her get away with things. Her lists have been getting shorter, and she recommends folks who are old or have some hidden ailment. We take them, but they don’t survive the Seeding. Useless.

Tell her she comes up with something good, or we take everyone.

                                                                             Knight-Captain Fornier

Notes

  • If the player allows Mistress Poulin to initiate dialogue upon returning to her in Sahrnia (by standing near her), the text of the dialogue wheel may not be selectable, making it impossible to finish the quest. However, this can be resolved by moving away from her and then running up to her again then quickly tapping the interaction button before the dialogue automatically initiates; the text should then be selectable.
  • If you capture Suledin Keep and teleport back to Skyhold before speaking with Mistress Poulin, she will be made available for judgment. This means she will no longer be in Emprise du Lion and you can no longer speak to her to finish the quest. The quest will then stay in your journal unresolved. To avoid this, make sure to speak to her as soon as you get this quest, and before leaving the Emprise.
  • For some players if you do return to Skyhold before speaking with Mistress Poulin then when you complete her judgement the quest might complete.
