Primeval Lyrium Rune is a unique weapon rune in Dragon Age II.

Acquisition

The rune can only be obtained by giving the Lyrium idol shard to Sandal during the quest Haunted.

Notes

• The exact amount of increased attack speed depends on the quality of the weapon.
• The increase attack speed increases the probability of critical hits. Very useful for rogues with high dexterity which has an already high critical hit chance; thus increasing frequency of critical hits.

Trivia

• In Dragon Age: The World of Thedas Volume 1, it is clarified that the official name of this type of lyrium is "red lyrium".
