Cultists are looking for a sign that the rifts in the Veil can be controlled.

Speak with Speaker Anais at the front gates of the Winterwatch Tower located in the Hinterlands.
Walkthrough[]
Anais asks the Herald if they are truly the Herald of Andraste.
- Anais: But are you? The Maker has not told me.
- I believe I was chosen.

- I'm not certain.
- Sera Slightly Approves
- No. I'm not.
She will open the gate to the castle and ask the Herald to prove their power by closing the Fade rift within. The rift only spawns lesser terror demons. Anais will then claim to be a fool for doubting and swears service to the Herald. The quest completes after selecting one of the following options:
- "Listen and gather information."
- Speaker Anais acquired for Leliana (Secrets)
- Dorian Slightly Approves
Iron Bull Approves- Sera Slightly Approves
- "Help the refugees."
- Speaker Anais is not recruited
- Cassandra Slightly Approves
