Payback Strike is a warrior ability from the Weapon and Shield tree in Dragon Age: Inquisition.

Information

Damage: 200% weapon damage
Recently damaged threshold: 5 seconds
Damage bonus: 200%
Cooldown time: 7.6 seconds
Cost: 35 stamina

Upgrades

Sweet Revenge

Upgrade
Requires: Payback Strike

You do more damage with Payback Strike, and if you've recently taken damage, you also stun taunted enemies.

Damage bonus: 200%
Stun duration: 2 seconds

Cruel Revenge

Upgrade
Requires: Trespasser

Payback Strike now taunts enemies.

Duration: 8 seconds

Notes

Payback Strike removes the same disabling conditions as Roll with It: Stun, Panic, and Knockdown. It also removes Chill, but not Frozen. This makes it a useful recovery tool for Weapon and Shield warriors, as the cooldown does not initiate unless the ability makes contact with an enemy
