Parry is a rogue ability from the Double Daggers tree in Dragon Age: Inquisition.
Information[]
- Requires daggers
- Damage: 100% weapon damage
- Cost: 10 stamina
- Undocumented: Restores 35 stamina on a successful parry (even without Effortless Riposte)
Upgrade[]
Effortless Riposte |
Upgrade Requires: Daggers |
If you succeed in countering a blow, your Parry costs no stamina at all. Negates stamina cost if successful |
Patient Riposte |
Upgrade Requires: Trespasser |
You wait, prepared to knock away the blow, as long as stamina remains at all. Cost: 5 stamina per second |
Notes[]
- One second after activating, Parry negates the first melee attack to land and launches a counterattack against the attacker.
- While parrying no abilities can be used. However, movement is allowed.
- The counterattack strikes all enemies in a 180 degree arc, centered on the right side of the rogue, pushing enemies away if humanoid.
- An active Parry has no facing restrictions, i.e., a rogue can Parry an attack made on their back.
- A successful parry, even without Effortless Riposte, restores 35 stamina yielding a 25 stamina net gain. (35 stamina gain - 10 stamina cost = 25 stamina gained)
- Parry has no cooldown, so setting a tactic to enable Parry on an AI controlled character is highly effective.
