Background[]
Paisley Pete was a pirate who served on a ship called The Wicked Dancer under Captain Maldine. Maldine was a maleficar and cursed several members of her crew by turning them into stone after they stole from her. The only person who can break the curse is another pirate captain.
Involvement[]
If Isabela is brought along to Chateau Haine, she recognizes the trapped pirates and is able to talk to them. They reveal that their former captain, whom they call a lying, cheating, scurvy bastard, placed a curse on them and asks that Isabela, as another pirate captain, break it. To do so, they tell her to find the Dagger of the Four Winds. When returned with the dagger, they reveal that Isabela has to give up the dagger in order to break the curse and free them. Hawke can choose to let Isabela keep the dagger, or have her free the pirates, in which case they pledge themselves to Isabela's service.
Paisley Pete, Left-Hand Rawley and Knife-Eared Jan will aid Hawke in the fight against Cahir in the cave if freed. If Hawke attempts to talk to Pete, Pete will say that should they ever set sail, Pete will be waiting on them.
