Owain is a Tranquil who manages the magical stockroom of the Circle Tower in Ferelden. As one of the Tranquil, Owain is believed to be immune to possession by demons, but can no longer dream or feel emotions. Whilst it is not unheard of to force an apprentice mage to undergo the Rite of Tranquility, Owain chose it voluntarily in preference to undergoing the potentially fatal test known as The Harrowing. He feels no regret for his decision.
