This slim journal was tucked into a bookshelf in the Crossroads, as if left for someone to find. Each entry is in a different hand:
I've dropped rocks off a dozen ledges. I've not heard one hit bottom.
This place has no bottom. Do not be here if you have no tasks here.

"Emmet" missed his rendezvous. He said he was scouting the lower ledges on orders.
