Nessa is a homeless girl seen in the City Elf Origin, whose family are moving to the army camp at Ostagar.

Involvement

Nessa and her parents were recently evicted from their homes by the human landlord, so they are planning on joining the king's camp at Ostagar as laborers, since they can't afford to move to Highever. After the Warden speaks with her father, she will talk to him/her expressing her concerns about going to Ostagar, knowing that there will be many male human soldiers there. The Warden can either:

  • Try to persuade her father to let her stay with Cyrion. This is a low difficulty check.
  • Give 3Silver 0Bronze to finance their trip to Highever.
  • Give 10Silver 0Bronze so they can set up shop in Denerim.
  • Brush her off
Note: The Warden has to have received the wedding gift from Dilwyn & Gethon in order to give Nessa any money.

Rewards

  • 100 XP for giving 10Silver 0Bronze
  • 50 XP for giving 3Silver 0Bronze
  • 50 XP for convincing the father to let her stay

Quotes

  • "I don't like the idea of being surrounded by human soldiers who haven't seen a woman in months."

Notes

  • Even if her family ends up heading to Ostagar, none of them are seen when the Warden travels there with Duncan.
  • Even if you convinced her father to let her stay with Cyrion, you will not see her upon your return to the alienage, instead finding only Soris there, (assuming that you took all responsibility for killing the Arl.
