“What, are you a midwife? I've been struck by two dozen men and it never felt like this.”
Nella is a worker in the Hanged Man.
Involvement[]
After Hawke tracks down Emile de Launcet to the Hanged Man, he asks them to let him spend the night with Nella before returning him to the Gallows. If Hawke agrees, Emile gives Nella some coin in exchange for a night with her. If not, Nella starts flirting with another man.
If Emile was allowed to spend the night with Nella, returning to the De Launcet Mansion in Hightown will initiate a cutscene where Nella claims to be pregnant with Emile's child. Dulci and Guillaume de Launcet are both shocked. Nella tells Dulci that she is the grandmother of her child after sleeping with him the night before. When Guillaume doubts her story, saying that it's impossible and she couldn't know this early, she mockingly asks whether he's a midwife and says that she's been with dozens of men and has never felt like this before. Nella asks when the wedding will be held so she can become Nella de Launcet.
When Hawke speaks to her, she happily tells Hawke that she's going to be a lady. Guillaume says that the situation is highly embarrassing and calls his son a foolish boy. He is mulling over the possibility of sending Nella to their country estate. If Hawke talks to a Drunken Patron in the Hanged Man, the patron will tell them about how Nella has quit her job and moved in with the De Launcets.
During the party at Chateau Haine, Dulci complains about Nella's taste in decoration, lamenting the fact that Nella has filled the estate with ceramic cows.
If Hawke sided with the mages, Emile can appear alongside them. Attempting to talk with Emile will have him say that he knows that they are all going to die, but he is happy he was able to have some fun with Nella.
