Ser Morris becomes the Inquisition's quartermaster once it relocates to Skyhold.

Background[]

When pressed by the Inquisitor for his qualifications for the crucial position of quartermaster, he lists noteworthy family connections all over Thedas, yet could name no qualifying trait for himself. He admits that even he questioned his own appointment to the position. His comments are carefully adjusted to avoid offense, such as noting that if the Inquisitor shares Threnn's views (on Teyrn Loghain) that they are "perfectly legitimate" views.

He states that his family has ties to several freehold militias, cousins "acting as officers" in Ferelden and Orlais, holds treaties with three new-money Tevinter houses (unspecified), and a rare Orzammar contract with a Paragon namesake (unspecified),^[1]

After Corypheus' assault on Haven, Morris will take over duties as quartermaster from Threnn. He can be found in a building marked "Quartermaster" on the map, located next to the armory. The building is not accessible until after the first time returning to Skyhold.

If Threnn survives the assault, Morris explains that the decision to replace her was made due to certain unpopular "views" she holds (likely referring to Threnn's favorable opinion of Loghain Mac Tir). Morris has an assistant, Ser Draman.^[2]

He will offer the war table operation Negotiate a Deal for Weapon Plans. He also participates in the operation Outfitting the Crew.

Callback

Ser Morris is now known as Supplier of the Greater Vals and frequently travels the border roads. He is part of the reinforcements that Sutherland recruited to investigate the silence of Skyhold's caretakers and its missing supply caravan. He participates in the fight against the Regret demon, formed out of Solas' murals, that successfully sends it back to the Fade.
