Mercenary Intent is a side quest in Dragon Age: The Veilguard.
Acquisition[]
The group is set upon by Venatori on the Smuggler's Docks close to the Spillway which triggers the quest. Happens around the mid-point of the game.
Walkthrough[]
Aggressive mercenaries are protecting a suspicious shipment at the docks.
Investigate the mercenaries' activity[]
After the attack that triggers the quest, head into the nearby warehouse to search for Venatori activity. The clues are:
- A note pinned to a pillar in the middle of the main warehouse room.
- A book on a desk in the big office on the top floor, the one with the ladder leading down from the roof access point.
- A scroll on a desk in the small office on the top floor, opposite the big office.
The clues point to some human trafficking taking place at Low Tide Beach, the beach area close to the warehouse. Go there and confront them. After they are defeated, free the captive qunari man. If Neve is there, she will give him instructions on how to get help getting home.

- Bond increase with active companions
- 500 XP
- 300 Gold
- 2 Royal Elfroot
- 100 Shadow Dragon strength
