Involvement[]
The Inquisitor finds the Mercenary Captain in the Royal Quarters after defeating demons and Venatori. Once untied, the Mercenary tells them that Grand Duke Gaspard hired him and his men because he lacked enough chevaliers, offering them triple pay to move in on the palace at night as part of a coup. However, the Mercenary and his men were then lured into a trap by Florianne de Chalons, left to be killed by demons. The Mercenary believes that Gaspard masterminded the trap with his sister to avoid paying his bill.
The Inquisitor can recruit him as an agent to testify against Grand Duke Gaspard.
