Meeran is a character in Dragon Age II.
Background
Meeran leads the mercenary band known as the Red Iron. He is first found in the Gallows, but moves to Lowtown (night) during Hawke's first year. He can also be found in the Blooming Rose during Act I.
Entry into Kirkwall
Hawke must side with either his mercenaries or Athenril's smugglers in order to help get into Kirkwall, as part of Gamlen's plan. As a test of ability, Meeran requests that Hawke kill a nearby nobleman. Hawke can choose to kill the nobleman, or take a bribe in exchange for the nobleman's life.
Quests
- Enter Kirkwall with Meeran's help after arriving there from Lothering.
- If Hawke aligns with Meeran, Meeran will eventually offer Hawke additional work.
- If you accept the nobleman's bribe, and then side with the smugglers you will be ambushed by Meeran and his mercenaries at night in Lowtown. (NOTE: Meeran has an enormous amount of archers, thugs, and assassins during his attack.)
