Mandar Dace is the heir to noble House Dace. He is also the son of Lord Ronus Dace. Mandar is a much decorated duelist and is a three-time champion of the Great Provings.

Background[]

Rumors persist that when Anwer Dace dies, Jerrik Dace may become the leader of House Dace over Mandar. Certainly, these two dwarves are bitter rivals, having fought multiple times in the Provings with Jerrik always emerging victorious. This rivalry may also be connected to several assassination attempts on Jerrik, from which he survived with apparent ease.[1]

However, by 9:41 Dragon, Jerrik has become a surface dwarf and lives in Denerim.[2] This presumably cemented Madar's position as heir to House Dace.

If the Dwarf Noble decides to challenge the honor of Mandar's father, Ronus, there will be a proving fight against Mandar to defend House Aeducan's honor, while Mandar fights on behalf of House Dace. This fight will also be watched by several other heads of major noble houses as well as the Dwarf Noble's father, King Endrin Aeducan.

Mandar is wielding a massive maul and the fight is to the death. When Mandar is defeated and killed, Ronus apologizes and leaves in order to mourn his son who fought for his honor.

Notes[]

  • The BioWare wiki mentions that Mandar Dace is the son of Lord Anwer Dace which contradicts the established in-game lore.[3] It is unknown which version is correct.
