Malachite is a valuable in Dragon Age: Inquisition.
Acquisition[]
- Rare random loot from sacks.
- Three Malachite can be found in a chest on the boat north of Fereldan Frostback in the Hinterlands.
Uses[]
- Used in the side quest Armor Requisition on the Plains.
Notes[]
- An efficient way of obtaining malachite for the required requisition, is to loot only the three malachite from the chest referenced above in the Hinterlands. Fast travel away from the area and return to re-loot the item as many times as desired.
- A sack found in the Halin'Sulahn region of the Exalted Plains, near the Fade rift and the broken wall containing a Veilfire brazier will spawn three valuables at random. Save before opening the sack and reload to reset the contents. Leaving at least one item then fast traveling and returning will allow for the contents to respawn.
- A vase found in Daerwin's Mouth in the Storm Coast will spawn armor, weapons, schematics, and valuables randomly, and can be looted with the same method as the sack in Halin'Sulahn. The vase is found on the ledge beside the stairway, in the room right before the boat docks that take you to Dragon Island. Save before opening the vase, and if Malachite isn't found within, reload to reset the contents until a Malachite spawns.
- Any lootable chest/sack/vase/etc. that spawns valuables may yield Malachite using the save-and-reload method. Save before opening any container, or the contents may not reset as intended.
- Saving a game while standing directly in front of the container (close enough so that the container remains highlighted) may also result in the contents not reseting.
