Dragon Age: Origins has several main quests which have to be completed in order to complete the game.
Main quests[]
Lothering and the Imperial Highway
Area Level Limits[]
While many of the Dragon Age: Origins main quests have no fixed order, and as such can be completed in whichever order the player chooses, each area in the game have different enemy level scaling. As such, attempting A Paragon of Her Kind, which takes place in the highest leveled area of Orzammar, immediately following Lothering and the Imperial Highway can prove challenging, depending on the selected difficulty and player skill. Likewise, waiting to complete The Arl of Redcliffe until last can make the Warden and their companion entire over-leveled for the area.
The following are the hard-coded upper and lower level limits for each area in the game, in ascending order, and the associated main quest with each.
Area | Associated Main Quest | Lower Level Limit | Upper Level Limit |
---|---|---|---|
Redcliffe | Arl of Redcliffe | 5 | 11 |
Circle Tower | Broken Circle | 5 | 14 |
Haven | The Urn of Sacred Ashes | 7 | 13 |
Brecilian Forest | Nature of the Beast | 7 | 15 |
Denerim | The Landsmeet | 7 | 16 |
Orzammar | A Paragon of Her Kind | 10 | 16 |
