“Don't ask what Circle tower I'm from, because we're done with that. We're all free mages now.”

Linnea is an extremely bitter mage living in Redcliffe Village and a Tevinter sympathizer.

Involvement[]

This section contains spoilers for:
Dragon Age: Inquisition.

Linnea can be spoken to at the Gull and Lantern during the main quest In Hushed Whispers after talking to Fiona. She is very negative towards the Inquisitor, and the Inquisition in general, accusing them of being the Templar Order by a different name. She is a very open supporter of the alliance with the Imperium, and when challenged on issues such as blood magic, she says she's got no problem with it, and that its use is fine in Tevinter.

If the mages are recruited:
The Inquisitor is sent a year into the future by Alexius, in a timeline where the Inquisition was defeated and the Venatori have taken over Southern Thedas. She can be seen at the Redcliffe Castle Docks talking to Talwyn, who is on his knees, about submitting to the Elder One. As he begs her not to hurt him, Linnea summons two shades who then appear to consume their bodies and proceed to attack the Inquisitor and the accompanying party, who in turn slay them both.

Trivia[]

  • Linnea will no longer be at the Gull and Lantern after the main quest Champions of the Just has been completed.
  • If the Inquisitor is a human mage, Linnea's dialogue will be slightly different: she will express jealousy and resentment toward Trevelyan specifically for being a better student when they were at the Ostwick Circle together.[1]
  • During Leliana's advisor quest Under Her Skin, Calpernia can be seen talking to a woman named Linnea, but it is unclear if they are one and the same.
