Lily is a Chantry initiate in Ferelden's Circle Tower. She is a temporary companion who appears in the Magi Origin. She is also Jowan's lover.
Involvement[]
Lily and Jowan will ask a mage Warden to help them escape, as they both fear Jowan being made tranquil. Lily is willing to leave her life as an initiate behind, in order to be with him. If the Warden is female, they can ask Jowan why Jowan was never romantically inclined toward the Warden. This will cause Lily to affirm the question, as she points out that Jowan had often talked about the Warden. Jowan will then nervously utter a weak defense, claiming that he thought of the Warden more as a sister.
Lily will join the Warden and Jowan in raiding the Circle Tower Basement to destroy Jowan's Phylactery. However, after Jowan reveals himself to be a blood mage, she rejects him, leaving him to escape alone. She is willing to accept her punishment from Knight-Commander Greagoir, even if it means being sent to Aeonar, the mages' prison. Nothing is heard of her after this; however, when Jowan is encountered in Redcliffe Castle Dungeon, he asks the warden if they know what has become of Lily. The warden may lie to him and say Lily is fine, or tell him that you don't know what happened to her. If the Warden chooses to execute Jowan during the quest the Arl of Redcliffe, his final request, should the Warden ever encounter Lily, is for them to let her know that he is sorry and that he loved her until the end.
As punishment for assisting Jowan, Lily was indeed sent to Aeonar. Lily spends a decade in imprisonment, which she spends studying and praying, and occasionally undergoing certain invasive "tests" by the Templars to check for possession.
