Lia is a city elf and the daughter of Elren.
Involvement[]
Hawke is hired by Magistrate Vanard to rescue a convicted prisoner from a monster-infested ruin. At the ruins, Elren, an elven merchant from Kirkwall, notifies Hawke that his daughter Lia was kidnapped and killed by the criminal and demands that he be executed. When entering the Ruined Passage, Hawke finds that Lia is in fact still alive. She says that that demons made Kelder hurt her and pleads with Hawke to spare him because it wasn't his fault.
If Kelder is allowed to live:
Elren is grateful that his daughter was saved, but is angry that Kelder was allowed to live and states that they'll have to flee Kirkwall to be safe. In Act 2, he sends Hawke a letter reiterating his thanks and apologizing for his previous outburst. He says that Lia has become afraid of men, a fear she might never get over.
If Kelder is executed:
Lia is happily reunited with her father. In Act 2, Hawke receives a letter from Elren. He thanks Hawke for rescuing his daughter once again. He says that Lia has developed an interest in swordplay and combat, that she talks about one day joining the guard and that she seems none the worse for wear. In Act 3, if Hawke enters the Kirkwall Alienage with Aveline in the party, Lia walks up to thank the Champion of Kirkwall and it is revealed that Lia has in fact joined the Kirkwall City Guard.
