Legion of the Dead armor set is a massive armor item set in Dragon Age: Origins.

Acquisition

All the pieces of this armor set can be acquired in the Dead Trenches:

• The boots can be found first after killing the ogre and taking the tunnel around the huge double doors. Then the room is immediately to your left.

• The gloves are next and you will find them in the section where the darkspawn have a fire trap of sorts setup for you.

• The chestpiece can be found in the room where there is one darkspawn that summons skeletons to fight.

Note: The exact location of each piece can also be found in this map. Note that the 1st location is for the boots, the 2nd is for the gloves, the 3rd is for the chestpiece and the 4th is for the helmet which however is not required in order to complete this set.

• Oghren is equipped with a full set of this armor (including the helm) when he is first encountered in Awakening.

Notes

• The Helm of the Legion can be found in an altar in the Dead Trenches. Furthermore, if the Warden spares Ruck who is found in the Ortan Thaig you may also purchase the Shield of the Legion from him, however neither of these items are a required part of the set.
• Donning the entire set of armor as well as the helm is required to summon the Gangue shade during the quest The Gangue Shade.
• Collecting pieces of the armor set triggers a quest called The Dead Caste. To complete this quest, collect all the pieces of the armor (including the helm) and then a coffin will be revealed in the path leading to the Broodmother; collect the Dead Caste Insignia and finish the quest by putting the insignia in the Book of Memories in the Shaperate (on a book stand in front of the shaperate scribe sitting on the floor).
