Large bears are a type of bear variant found in Hafter's Woods within the Hinterlands. They are more powerful than the regular bears, but not as powerful as great bears.
Background[]
The large bears are known to have bigger claws than their regular cousins. In fact, their claws are known for being just as big as those belonging to great bears. Some hunters set out to hunt these beasts solely for their claws.
And believe me, once you've gotten enough of the bear claws—and remember, they need to be big, really good-sized ones, I don't want you coming back with some cub's slashers and a sad-dog grin on your face—we'll make something that will make both of us rich.
Involvement[]
Dragon Age: Inquisition[]
The Herald of Andraste can find a note on a body of a hunter by the name of Bergrit. The note is a letter from his friend Jasker, telling him about the large bears. Unfortunately, Bergrit was killed before he made it to the bears lair. The Herald can continue his quest and hunt down three large bears.
