- Dropped by a bounty hunter in Frostback Mountain Pass.
- Although random, this can be found in the vault room on the second floor of Redcliffe Castle, in the chest containing Eamon's Shield.
- Sold by Cesar in the Denerim Market District after The Trial of Crows quest.
- Random loot in a locked chest during the quest Rescue the Queen. The chest is located in a small treasury room on the lower left side of the Arl of Denerim's Estate interior map.
- Random loot in the quest Something Wicked. In the last room of the orphanage near the exit to the Alienage, on a corpse to the left just inside the door to the room.
Return to Ostagar[]
- Possible loot from a wooden box near a wagon past the Tower of Ishal, near the only other exit to the world map. The contents of these boxes are random; the helmet will not always be present.

- Its appearance is that of a slightly modified Templar helmet, with the added bonus of its stats.
