Acquisition

Kind of Want is acquired after killing a few groups of Follower of She in Lowtown at night. This quest is part of the tasks which earn gold from A Friend in The Hanged Man.

Walkthrough

• Enter Lowtown at night and make your way around the map.
• Kill a few groups of Follower of She. Once enough have been killed the quest will show up in your log.
• Follow the arrows around the map, killing a few more groups of Follower of She until you encounter the Desire Demon, Hanker.
• Kill Hanker.

Result

Quest will complete once Hanker is dead.

• Carta's Left Hand
• 30 silver 36 copper

• Talk to A Friend upstairs in The Hanged Man after completion to recieve a 2 gold reward for cleaning up the streets.

Note

I did not receive this quest until Act 3. It may be possible that if you don't kill enough Followers in Act 2 that it carries over into Act 3.

Trivia

• This may be a reference to the internet meme "Do not want," a phrase used to express extreme repellance to an item or event. The "Do not want." meme has also evolved into "Kind of want," becoming an internet meme of its own, which is usually used to express indifference or neutrality towards something.
• In addition, the name of the desire demon, Hanker, is a verb used to express desire.
• The cultists' name "Followers of She" may be reference to fantasy novel She: A History of Adventure by Henry Rider Haggard where primitive races follow queen Ayesha who is simply refered as "She".
