Keening Blade is a longsword in Dragon Age: Origins.

Dropped by Gaxkang at the Quaint Hovel in Denerim, at the end of the Unbound side quest.
Notes[]
- Unless other elemental runes are placed upon the sword, the Keening Blade will always have an icy aura about it.
- Keening Blade cold damage scales with any frost runes. Formula: (b+rd)+(rd-1*rn) where b=3 base frost damage, rd=runes total damage bonus, rn =runes number. Having 2 master frost runes and 1 grandmaster will give a total bonus damage of (3+13)+(13-1*3)=26 frost damage displaying as 16+3+3+4 in combat.
