Involvement[edit | edit source]
Jeannot managed to infiltrate a ball in the Imperial Palace where the Divine was a guest of honor. While she was giving a speech, Jeannot angrily confronted her regarding the Chantry's abolition of the College of Enchanters, before attempting an assassination. The Divine's bodyguard, Ser Evangeline, engaged Jeannot before he could succeed, though after she cut him, he turned to blood magic. Jeannot managed to make a second attempt on the Divine's life using blood magic, though he was killed by Evangeline before he succeeded.According to Wynne, Jeannot's assassination attempt was covertly supported by some templars who oppose the Divine as it wasn't possible for a single mage to sneak out of the White Spire and infiltrate the ball on his own.
