Damage ImmunityEdit

Some creatures are completely immune to certain damage types. The immunities cannot be bypassed with Hex-type spells.

This is based on special Talents, which are set in the creature templates. However, these Talents can be overridden in the creature spawn scripts or level adjustment scripts, so not all creatures encountered will have the immunity Talent(s) listed below (list based on the creature templates):

Creature Elemental damage type
Abomination Nature
Arcane Horror Cold and Nature
Ash Wraith Fire
Corpse Nature
Golem type enemies Nature
Dragon type enemies

(excluding High Dragons)

Fire
Drake Fire
Rage Demon Fire
Revenant Cold and Nature
Skeletons Nature
Undead type enemies Nature
Witherfang Cold

Note that cold resistance does not grant immunity to freezing effects. This makes Cone of Cold a worthwhile spell to use even on enemies like Revenants and Arcane Horrors, who are immune to the damage effects.

Effect ImmunityEdit

Some creatures are immune to certain types of effects like Charm, Confusion, Fear, Knockdown, Slip, Stun. This immunity can not be bypassed.

This kind of immunity is controlled by the creature appearance type, so all encountered creatures of this type should have the immunity.
