Alpha hurlocks are more intelligent and more skilled fighters, often serving as commanders or even generals.[1] Among their ranks, hurlocks are differentiated by their abilities. Hurlock alphas are stronger and have significantly more hit points than basic hurlocks. They also have higher strength statistics, as well as some group-effect skills.
As they use both Rally and War Cry they seem to be the "champions" of the darkspawn.
