Hunter Fell is a city in Nevarra. It is located along the northern shore of the Minanter river, west of Nevarra City.
History[]
In 2:46 Glory, Caspar Pentaghast of Hunter Fell deposed King Ionas before he could run Nevarra into the ground or hand it over to Orlais or Starkhaven.
The Third Blight began in 3:10 Towers with the awakening of the Old God Toth. After first attacking southern Tevinter and northern Orlais, the darkspawn horde moved east. By 3:18, they had ravaged the bustling cities found along the Minanter river. The Grey Wardens eventually convinced the reluctant nations of Orlais and Tevinter to send aid to the beleaguered city-states of the Free Marches. Their armies met the Wardens in Hunter Fell in 3:25 and defeated the Archdemon Toth in the Battle of Hunter Fell. It is said to be one of the bloodiest battles in history, with darkspawn corpses piled a hundred feet high.[1] The blade of the Warden who killed Toth shattered in three pieces upon striking the killing blow and lay unclaimed on the battlefield for years. Eventually, a Nevarran woman picked up the pieces and sold them to a blacksmith, who reforged the pieces into identical daggers, Thorn of the Dead Gods.[2]
Celebrations were cut short when the victorious armies of Orlais and Tevinter turned on the Marcher cities. Hunter Fell was claimed by the Imperium, while Orlais captured Nevarra City. Hunter Fell fought back against occupation and eventually regained its independence in 3:49.[1]
When Tylus Van Markham deposed King Nestor Pentaghast in 5:37 Exalted, the surviving Pentaghasts fled to Hunter Fell.[3]
